The programme shall run for one (1) academic session, beginning in October 2025 and ending in September 2026. It is an intensive programme designed to prepare candidates with deficiencies in their O’Level results to successfully re-sit the examination and also prepare them for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for admission into the 100 Level degree programmes of Lagos State University.

The programme is located at the Lagos State University, Epe Campus. To ensure the integrity of the programme, all admitted students are required to reside in the school hostels for the duration of their study.

  • In addition, all candidates with deficiencies in their O’Level results are to register for WAEC and/or NECO, and are expected to pass all the relevant deficient subjects.
  • Successful candidates will be eligible for allocation to 100 Level courses in related faculties/schools/colleges: Engineering, Science, Management Sciences, Education, Social Sciences, Law, Agriculture, Transport, Mass Communication, Nursing, Dentistry, and the College of Medicine at the end of the programme.

*CURRENT PERFORMANCE*

Despite the generally low performance rate in the 2025 UTME examination, the PDS recorded significant success. The performance of our current Pre-Degree candidates in the 2025 UTME is proof that their exposure to rigorous teaching and Computer Based Test (CBT) practice contributed to tremendous success in both quality and quantity. 89% scored 200 and above, and a handful scored above 300.
