The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new service called the “Profiled Email” process to assist candidates who have lost their SIM cards. This initiative is designed to improve access and security, allowing candidates to update their profiles using a valid email address.

Step-by-Step Process for Candidates

Step 1: Obtain and Complete the Template
Candidates are required to visit any accredited CBT (Computer-Based Test) center to request the new “Profiled Email” template (TEMPL 006). They must complete the form by providing essential details such as:

Registration number

Phone number

Profile code

A new, valid email address not previously used on the JAMB platform

The form includes a declaration section that the candidate must sign to confirm the accuracy of the information.

Step 2: Template Processing at the CBT Center
Authorized CBT center officials initiate the application using the JAMB Registration App. They then upload the completed and signed template into the system. This document is stored securely for future validation.

Step 3: Authentication of the New Email
JAMB’s system verifies the new email address to ensure it is active and not linked to any other profile. A verification link or code is sent to the email, which the candidate must confirm to complete this stage.

Step 4: Profile Update
Once verified, the new email is added to the candidate’s JAMB profile. This unlocks access to essential features such as:

Password Reset

Result access

PIN re-issuance (e.g., ePIN for UTME or DE)
