The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the registration and examination schedules for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Registration will run from January 15 to February 26, 2025, while the UTME will take place from April 18 to April 28, 2025.
The UTME is designed for candidates who have completed their secondary school education and seek admission into universities, polytechnics, or colleges of education. JAMB has outlined the following requirements for prospective candidates:
1. National Identification Number (NIN):
Candidates must obtain an 11-digit NIN from any NIMC enrollment center or through the NIMC mobile app. The NIN is essential for creating a JAMB profile.
2. JAMB Profile Code:
Send your NIN via text to 55019 or 66019 to receive a 10-digit JAMB Profile Code.
3. Phone Number and Email Address:
A valid phone number and email address are required for creating a JAMB profile and receiving updates. Candidates must use the same phone number throughout the registration and examination process.
4. Academic Qualifications:
Candidates must have their O’level or A’level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE) ready. Those awaiting results may apply but must upload their final results to the JAMB portal before admission.
5. ePIN and Fees:
• Purchase an ePIN for N3,500 from authorized outlets, including banks, online platforms, or via USSD codes.
• Additional fees include N700 for registration, N1,500 for the UTME exam, and N1,500 for the optional Mock-UTME.
6. Personal Information and Biometric Verification:
Provide personal details such as name, date of birth, gender, state of origin, local government area, passport photograph, and signature. Candidates must also undergo biometric verification (thumbprint). The total cost is approximately N5,200 for the main examination and N6,700 for candidates opting for the Mock-UTME.
