A lady expressed her disappointment after her boyfriend failed to include her name in his acknowledgments, despite her significant help with his final year project.
Taking to a relationship forum to voice her frustrations, she explained how she had played a crucial role in his academic achievements, doing his assignments, reports, and simplifying his notes for him.
She even went as far as writing his entire final project, only to be omitted from the acknowledgment section.
Feeling unappreciated, the woman shared her feelings with others online.
She wrote …
“I supported my boyfriend through his studies by helping with his assignments, report writing, and also breaking down his notes into simpler forms for his better understanding. To my surprise, when he finally completed his project, which I helped with the report, he acknowledged every other person except me. I feel so unappreciated and undervalued. I’m starting to wonder if I was taken for granted. Am | entitled to expect an acknowledgement for my efforts, or is it reasonable that I feel unappreciated considering my effort to his academic success?”
